As a business owner, Rodney managed 5 crews (2 tower, 3 civil) to build the next generation of wireless. He was on the front lines building new 5G sites (NSB) for T-Mobile & Dish, while also decommissioning the old Sprint network. His leadership directly enabled the high-speed 5G you use today.
Rodney performed "electrical surgery" on live cell sites in the dead of night. By swapping AC panels and upgrading breakers (e.g., 60A to 150A) during the 12am-6am maintenance window, he upgraded the grid to handle 5G power demands *without* interrupting service for millions of T-Mobile customers.
When a storm hits, networks must stay on. Rodney installed the backup generators and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) that power T-Mobile sites when the grid fails. This work ensures your phone remains a lifeline for 911 calls and emergency alerts, protecting lives and property.
As a 4-man crew Foreman, Rodney was on both sides of the build. He'd pour the concrete pad, weld the H-frame, and run the power (AC/DC); then he'd climb the tower to replace antennas, radios, and fiber trunks for the 4G LTE rollout. This is the work that made streaming video and Google Maps possible on your phone.
As foreman, Rodney led civil teams building the infrastructure for 2G/3G networks. He installed the complex power systems (120/240v 3-phase) and rectifiers that convert AC power to the -48v DC power that telecom equipment actually runs on. This is the foundational power that makes a cell site function.
This is where it all begins. Rodney was the one in the heavy machinery, excavating sites, digging 1,200-foot trenches for conduit, and bending/tying rebar cages for concrete pads. This is the essential, back-breaking work that every single cell tower is built upon. He didn't just test lines with an Anritsu; he built the ground they ran through.
No human is perfect, but this human knows how to protect. His value isn't just *doing* the work; it's in *protecting* the business.
With an OSHA 30 cert and "Safety is Priority" mindset, he protects crews, customers, and multi-million dollar assets from catastrophic loss.
Expertise in "hot swaps" and night work directly protects revenue streams by ensuring zero downtime. He keeps the business *on*.
By managing 5 crews at once, he's proven he can manage people, logistics, and schedules to get massive projects done on time.
